we talk.
You’ll be asked a few questions to help us understand your project, your style, and what you are wanting to achieve. The more info, the better! You can send us any bit of inspiration - whether that’s a Pinterest board, photos, or document.

We meet.
Once we have an understanding of what you want to achieve, we then book in a time to meet.
We prefer to do a face to face meeting in the project location, however we are happy to do a digital introduction and tour of the space. We will further discuss your design goals and go through any questions you may have so that you may express your needs in detail.
After the consultation, we will send you a detailed custom proposal that includes a recap, and a breakdown of the suggested number of hours you need to create and/or transform your space. After this appointment, we will draft up visuals for you in the form of draft sketches, material, and mood boards for you to be able to visualise the end result.

We create.
This is where the fun begins! Once we have locked in all the details and all the designs are approved, we start works. We will place any orders and schedule any tradesperson so everything is taken out of your hands.

is hiring an interior designer necessary and is it really worth it?
Short answer: yes. The average human spends up to 90% of their life indoors whether it’s in their home, at work or elsewhere, we are practically always indoors. When you consider this, you understand the importance of our environment and the role it plays in our well-being. Your habitat needs to be just as unique as you are for you to thrive and we interior designers are here to help you create that.
What is the difference between an interior designer and interior decorator?
La Casa Romantica is an interior design studio and we can assist you with any interior design project from building to renovating to styling and so on.
Interior design is sometimes known as ‘spatial design’ or ‘interior architecture’, and an interior designer offers a broader range of services than an interior decorator or stylist. We can advise on structural changes and provide you with technical drawings of your space.
To put it simply, if it’s an interior project - we can handle it.
Where do I start and who do i contact for my renovation/build?
This a very common question, and it is a fantastic question! The answer is your Interior Designer first as we can guide you through the best process for your desired outcome.
We have relationships with architects and builders and can help you select the right person to suit your project. Some clients come to us from scratch, while some others come with approved plans and/or a builder engaged.
It is best to engage your designer before you start the building work on your project to assist with securing a quote that is as accurate as possible before you commence. Designing on the go can result in variations and increases in costs, but is a possibility.
how much do you cost?
Hiring an interior designer is an investment in saving you time, effort and ensuring peace of mind that your job is being executed professionally, in a cost-effective manner and to your preferences.
There isn’t one industry standard for how interior designers bill for their professional time and costs do vary, but there are two common formats– Hourly and Flat Fee.
As its name implies, hourly billing means you are charged an hourly fee per team member for the time it takes to complete your project. A Flat Fee arrangement means you are billed one flat fee for the design, execution and completion of your job.
When interviewing your prospective interior designer make sure you clearly understand their billing practices and frequency.
At La Casa Romantica, will work with you to develop a mutually agreeable budget based on the size of the project and your needs.
how long will the process take?
Every job varies in size, therefore there is no set answer. Styling a room can be done in a matter of weeks while renovations can take a few months. Once we understand the size of your project, we can calculate the time needed to complete the works and we can align it to your schedule.
